Pezhham Akhavass is a percussionist/ multi-instrumentalist/ music director, Tombak and Daf, and solo artist. Born in1980 in Iran. BA and MA in Music from Iran and San Francisco State University. He developed a very unique ability to grasp the technicalities of the tombak and bring a new approach to rhythm. He was part of the Masters of Percussion tour in 2021 performing with Ustad Zakir Hussain.
